Subwoofer placement
Hey guys. I'm wanting to install a sub in my 2012 F250 CC. It is not equipped with a factory sub, and I've already upgraded the head unit to a Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD.
I'm aware of the custom boxes offered by Supercrewsound. They look quality and reasonably priced however I refuse to hack up my carpet behind the seats. Has anyone placed a hatchback style box on the floor between the two rows of seats? How does it sound? I rarely use my back seat and I think this may be my best option.
I've got an old-school Kicker C12 laying around but the 12" boxes are looking to be a little too big for the space. I'll likely go with a new Infinity 10". I'm going for sound quality over boom, so I think a single 10" will be more than sufficient.
Oh yeah, does anyone know if there's a built in pass-thru on the passenger side firewall? I'd hate to waste 6" of power cable to bring it through on the driver's side.
