Finally calling it a night, The days tally:
Injectors, studs, valve springs, pushrods, oil cooler rebuild, oil pan, painted the block, sand blasted and painted motor mounts, pressure washed engine bay, painted valve covers & pedestal, replaced unit bearings and installed new turbo wheel.
We're heading to bed for some well deserved rest!

Well, it was ANOTHER late nighter but we managed to meet our goal. We wanted the engine back in the engine bay and we did! It's also bolted back to the transmission, turbo back on, wire harness rerouted. Hopefully we'll be turning the key around 1:00 to see if all our work paided off.
Front Wheel Drive Mod
This is by far the easiest way to re-install the turbo!

This was a great project with awesome guys. We had 7-8 guys helping as well as my son Jordan who was posted at the tools, handing us what we needed and cleaning off tools and putting them away. Everybody had a great attitude throughout the project and although it was a bit of work, it was FUN the whole time.
Mike was an awesome host and his friend/neighbor Kevin has a sweeeeet shop and lots of NICE tools - seriously, this shop was incredible. Thanks for inviting us to help and looking forward to next time. (forged rod upgrade?? )
