Window/mirrors schematic
As usual I am looking for some good information. I have a 99 F250 Superduty. The passenger side mirror was hit and pushed forward. I removed the mirror and isolated the wiring. My problem if I even touch the switch for the mirrors it blows the fuse instantly but that fuse also controls power windows so if someone accidentally touches the mirror switch the windows will not operate. I do not understand the wiring. I know the mirror wiring is not touching anything so why am I blowing fuse and why are windows on same fuse. I got a schematic but it shows the circuits are separate so I do not know how to proceed. The wiring is fine all the way through the door and into the truck. Does anyone have any idea where to start trying to isolate where the wiring might be messed up?
Thanks
Pam
check each pin to ground I bet your going to find some short.
Also with it unplugged see if the switch pops the fuse.
If all else fails go to ALLDATA
and you can get access to a proper schematics
for you year. It's not free but you will get good
info.
