E bay fuel pumps
I have a 1998 Explorer sport trac 4.0 ohv 5 speed. Its been sitting for about 5 years and the gas gone bad and plugged up the pump and sock. Now ebay has pumps for different prices. Has anyone ever used them with good results?

The answer is no. An eBay fuel pump will not work if the parts store fuel pumps don't even work. Almost every aftermarket fuel pump I have used will work fine if your average drive time is less than 30 minutes, but drive longer than that in warm weather, the pumps overheat and shut down.
Only 3 brands work properly from my experience, Motorcraft, Carter (the real Carter pumps, not the Airtex ones that are sometimes put into a Carter box), and Walbro. Pretty much everything else is the same low bidder China stuff.

I replaced my fuel pump with an original Motorcraft bought from Amazon. Price was good, shipping was fast, came complete ready to install. It's been over 3 months now and works great. Hope this helps in you making a decision of where and what to buy.
