Tuner Reviews

Hey everybody, I just picked up the diablo sport intune for my 05 6.0L, i just want to know if anybody else has tried it and had the same outcome as i did, i used the economy tune and its rated at 65+ hp and 100 ft/lb+, it had great low end power from a stop sign or light, but anything after 100km/h was horrendous! it was just all noise and no go, and shifting very hard. It almost feels a if it took power away. :/ Any thoughts??

The really nice thing about the SCT is if you don't like the tune someone
created for you you can have it rewritten or even find a new person to write
it for you. Then if your really into it you can get the full tool set and write
them your self.

My self am very happy with Matt @ Gearhead.

Surprised you like it, I lost 1-2 mpg running that tune. Street is a good all around tune, performance is decent too.

Tow tune Definately not my fave

I ran the street tune and it made so much power I was worried about lifting the heads so I backed it down to the tow tune.

What about the PHP Hydra? I realize that 15 tunes is probably way too many, but what does everyone thing about that compared to the SCT?

No way the street tune will ruins the HG's unless unless you put it in the 2nd or 3rd and hold it at 4000 rpm

Well with the little experience I have with diesels and 6.0L in particular I figured I would err on the side of caution and not push it. The other thing I didn't care for is the street tune produced a fair amount of black smoke.

That's interesting.... Street doesn't make any smoke for me. Performance tune makes some haze, but not solid black. The Looney Tune makes a good smoke trail.
