When I am driving I hear and feel a clunking in the floor boards. Sounds like the left front. I just did the ball joints, but I noticed I could move the axle up and down about 3/4 of an inch or so. Could it be bad locking hubs? Everything else is tight.
I'm getting the exact same thing and for the life of me, I can't find it. Everything is tight up front, but there is a definite noise when I hit bumps at low speed.
My experience is with the Super Duty but usually a clunking going over bumps/pot holes is either ball joints or sway bar bushings/end links.
That's been my experience as well Rick, but I've generally found that there's a good amount of slop in them when they go bad. Everything is tight and the OP had recently done ball joints.

Are you sure it's not the engine that's causing the problem?
