CAN bus bulbs?
I know I need a 3157K bulb to replace the stock one.
I went to superbrightleds, and pulled up this,3157 CAN Bus LED Bulb - Dual Intensity 26 SMD LED Tower | 2004 Ford Ranger Stop Light LED Replacement Bulbs | LED Brake Light, Turn Light and Tail Light Bulbs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs
No where does it say this will replace the stock bulb. Maybe I'm not sure what the "K" designation means, or what this "CAN bus" stuff is.
Anyone offer some "inSIGHT" on this?
For instance, home incandescent light bulbs typically operate at a lower filament temp of about 2850K, so they're white light is sorta yellow tinted compared to the higher color temp of a 3157K lamp, or LED whos color would appear more blue tinted.
CAN = Controller Area Network
I ordered the CAN bus type bulbs, then found out they shouldn't be used on a non CAN bus vehicle. Took a little to find that a Ranger is non CAN bus, so returned them to superbrightleds, and ordered the right ones.
I'm not sure why you shouldn't, it's just what they stated.
