On another note, I found a pair of new SD front springs for $100!! Im going to double check the part number but the application is spot on for what they were originally purchased for. Major score!
What did they come off of? Part numbers can be a hit and miss.

A 4x4 350 I think. I'll find out for sure. They were purchased as backups for a friends truck. Never used them and sold the truck. He rattled off the correct prefix and base but couldn't remember the exact suffix. I'll know for sure on Saturday. May just buy them anyway for resale.
The number he gave me is the one stamped into the leaf: 2C34-ADB.
Im thinking that means very little or nothing.
The application is: 2003 F350 Crew cab, 6.0L. Bought used not sure if it had snow plow package or not. Does not own truck anymore. Im going to see if he has the VIN so I can run OTIS on it for details. Yes, I can do that.
Are these ok for my EX??...pending snow plow prep verification that is.
If the trunk did have the snowplow package then it came with at least W/B codes. The W codes are just a litte stiffer then V codes but softer then X codes.

That's because there is no definitive cross-reference guide for the stamped numbers on the springs. However, those numbers you have posted fit the same anecdotal evidence showing they are probably V code springs.
Nice score!

What is OTIS? Is that anything like OASIS?

Even if they were X codes for a snow plow package, they would be ok.

W's came on the F450/550 rigs. The X codes came on the 250/350 trucks.
Its not to good to be true...its amazon, thats where i bought my hubs. they actually dropped to like $117 for a few days and i just bought one for the hell of it, and then used it the next week. 100% timken hub, even comes with new studs and o ring

As for the springs, I just dont want them to ride too hard.
Correct, not OTIS....not sure what I was thinking. Too many things going on at my desk and cant afford to pay attention.

yup, even comes with the abs sensor and harness. put it on my old truck, very high quality, made in USA piece. have them saved in my amazon wish list either waiting for mine to fail, or for the price to drop again
The hard part with springs is that without the door pillar sticker that contains the spring codes, you don't really know what you're buying. I'm going through that right now too. There were a number of combinations of springs. If you don't know the codes, you'll have to roll the dice and install them and see how your rig sits and make adjustments with front shackles or rear blocks or whatever. $100 sounds good for the mystery springs from what I've been finding.
