Hey guys I had my Trani rebuilt a couple of weeks ago I put 5 quarts of atf in it and its leaking fluid from the tailshaft between the yoke and case is there a pressed in seal there like the front and is it pressed from the inside or out thanks
Overfilling shouldn't cause a leak should it ?
Jeremy
Yes, there is a seal back there. Pull the nut off and the yoke should just slide off. Yank the old seal, tap the new one in carefully, make sure there are no burrs or rough spots on the yoke (I hit mine with some really fine sandpaper to make sure) and re-install. You should get a new nut for the yoke b/c they are "staked" nuts and once you remove them, they no longer lock in place as well as they did originally.

I had it written down a few years ago, but it's long been lost unfortunately. I did some searching on the web and I think this might be the seal. National part number 713771
