Hello everyone
Im 15 and when i get a vehicle it will be a 1994-1997 250 or 350 with a powerstroke. I have and idea on how to put dual pipes on it and was wondering if it would work. If you were to split the turbo outlet pipe and put a split y pipe on it would the dual pipe sound work or not. (4 inch exhaust no muffler) thanks for any input
A 4" single exhaust is good for quite a bit of horsepower. You'd have to be at the point of replacing the injectors with aftermarket injectors and running propane injection before you'd see any performance benefits from a dual 4" setup. If you're doing it for performance, save your money. If you're doing it for looks, split it near the rear of the truck and save some money.
You can run a "dual " exhaust on the powerstroke by pretty much doing what you said. The easiest way would be to run a "Y" pipe after the downpipe , then run your duals from their. I am sure their is someone on this board who has done the exact thing you want to......
