4x2 oil pan replacement ?

I have a 2000 f350 4x2 7.3 stroke . Is it possible to remove the oil pan with the engine jacked up ; remove the CAC tubes and turbo charger for more room ?

I do not believe it is possible, though I might be wrong. People have cut the crossmember out & replaced the pan then replaced the crossmember, others have put a fiberglass shell around the pan, and others have pulled the engine. Of all of these, I think the pull and repair is the ticket...

EDIT: I just remembered this thread about a guy who thought about r&r'ing the pan with the engine in the truck.

You have to pull the engine. Don't cut the crossmember. You can pull the engine in the same amount of if not fast then cutting

You have to pull the engine and to do it correctly you need to flip the engine over so oil doesn't get on the gasket sealer.
Don't cut the crossmember. You'll ruin the frame doing that !

That's the general consensus . I wanted to see if there are any quick tips . It's a 4x2 so pulling the motor is easy ...
