I build rear disc d70's on the cheap. 70's f350 2wd srw axle
Cut,drill tap my own caliper bracket
Just make sure driveshaft is in phase with the joints or you'll have to cut, reweld perches
If its stock hight should be ok
Parts list
78 chev 3/4 front rotors or ford dana 44/60 rotors
78 chev calipers. Cheap at parts store
For soft lines in rear I use 1980 chevette front lines. $10 each

You have to torch off the flange for drum backing plate. I leave about 1/2" of it on. Bracket welds right onto the spot you cut off. You will have to modify 1 thing for rotors to clear. Either lathe open Center hole like 3/16" OR take hub off and you'll see the 5 or so bumps on it that give you the clearance issue ,grind those back the 3/16" to have rotor mount flat, flush.
I did a dually d70 one on my latest disc swap(but for srw purpose) About 1 1/2" narrower than the srw d70 I did up top. Not really noticeable but 1/2" spacer plates could be used.
Top d70 runs a Detroit locker this one runs a powr lok.
Dually d70 seem to be more easy to get so its an option I did in this truck.
