Figured I would post up some pictures of what I've been working on. Too cold out to work on the f250 and the bronco is currently sitting in the barn for the time being.
Anyways last summer i decided to lay down some rubber on a side road. Long story short as soon as I lit them up and the rear kicked sideways BAM sheared off all 5 moser wheel studs and there goes my 37" bogger passing me down the road flying up through the tree tops. First and last time I ever do a burnout with my bronco. Rear axle came down and pretty much destroyed the entire drum brake setup, so here I am.
Disk brake time!
Build is still in progress so I will update it as I go.
Well the wheel bearings were pretty much toast from the axle slamming on the ground so since I needed to remove the backing plates might as well do all new bearings also. Keep in mind my rear axle is a Dana 60 with Ford 9" tubes.
I picked up some new calipers and pads for a 91' s-10 yesterday. $55
As of right now I need to get .060" turned off of the rotors so that caliper/pad combo will work. Should have that done later today...and pics to follow.
