seems on my 92 f150, my headlights work when they fell like it...initially i thought i had to replace the bulbs, since all the other lights are working properly, but when i parked at the store i saw they where on (i have a habit of turning on the headlights while i drive) they seemed to work normally then...until i went to leave the store and back to just having parking lights...the strange thing is i can still flash the high beams. this morning they worked to work, but back no head light...any ideas?
Sounds like bright switch might be failing. Will the brights stay on?
Does yours still have bright switch on the floor? I know near that year they switched up to the turn signal arm. If on the floor, it might just be the switch. Typically if they get damp, they corrode and start to fail. They will jiggle and turn the lights off. Once you switch to high beams and return it is fine for awhile.
My brother had the same problem. The high beams would stay on but the low beams worked when they wanted. He had the switch changed and that took care of it.
