Electrical deamons....
First off I wanted to say hi! OK here is my question... I just picked up an 84 F 250 4x4 with 351 windsor 2 bl. At night, the headlights just turn on and off as you drive down the street. Both high and low beams. I was thinking the headlight switch but havent taken it apart yet. Any other easy fixes for this??? The truck has been used for plowing for a long time!! I figure with the extra lights on the plow, the breaker in the headlight switch may be burnt out. Also I have hazzard lights but no turn signals. Any help is appreciated! And want to say what a fine site you have here!

If you have the dimmer switch on the floor (I don't know what year they changed it) I would check that, my dad has told me a few horror stories about those, like you go to turn the high beams on and all your lights go out. Especially since the truck has been used for plowing, you probably have a bit of rust forming, and that can rot away at the high beam swich and wires. But check the breaker first if it is going to be a hassle to get to the high beam switch the breaker is much easier to check than the swich, because you don't want to rip up your floor then replace the swtch if it was the something as simple as the breaker.
