Won't start/roll over
Hi guys, got a 96 F350 4x4 here with a e4od that won't roll over. Batteries are up and good, when I turn key ahead to start, I don't even get a click or anything. Its acting like its not in Park or Neutral? It has a brand new starter,and good cables and battery connections. Options? Ideas?

Try it in Neutral. Then try moving the shifter around while holding the key.
If you have an assistant, pull the small wire off the relay and check for voltage there while your assistant turns the key. If there's voltage, then it's probably the relay. If no voltage, then it's upstream - ignition switch, neutral safety, wiring, etc.

So here is update. Haven't had time (due to work) to trace wiring. Truck starts if u jump the soleinoid, but the speedo and odometer don't work. The rest of dash works fine. Any idea how these problems are related?

Does the odometer show the number, just not counting up? Or is it blank? Does it shift normally or is it banging?
Have you checked ALL fuses in BOTH fuse boxes? Speedo/odo and starting problem may not be related.
Did you jump the _relay_ on the fender, or the _solenoid_ on the starter?
