programmer

I have a 2002 f150 5.4l 4x4 I was wondering if I got the MSD ignition system would I be able to get a programmer as well or would one over power the other? If I can have both what kind of programmer should I get ?

I might be later down the road but I was looking at both these things for more of the towing and MPG benefits and possibly a better off-road experience not so much for the racing aspect of it all

You can see some gains with a tuner. Unless you bump the compression or plan to spend a lot of time @ 7500 rpm, the only thing an MSD ignition will do is be less reliable than stock Motorcraft.
