This is just tacked together in this picture.
I built this out of scrap pipe I had laying around and some other stuff. The center of it is the center of a Warn Enforcer bumper (got the bumper from a friend because he destroyed it hooking a chain through the lighthole) I cut the uprights on it out of flat stock that I had, the "tow" hooks on it are off of a chevy that I had laying around, there's a bolt through it (grade 8) and it's welded to the upright. Grade 8 bolts are also holding it to the frame. The smaller diameter pipe is some pretty thick roll cage pipe, the thicker pipe in the center is much thicker than the rest. When I finished it, I had it sandblasted and powdercoated, which was done very poorly, and I painted it over in bedliner.
This is the best recent picture I have of it.

In the meantime here is some of the headaches we have so far. First on 89 F250 flatbed:
here is a better shot:
here is a shot of the rack on our 89 F350s flatbed (when on parts truck) want to put an inlay on it to:
and the one I picked up from a guy for $10 that was on our 86 F150 but removed and haven't been able to put back on:

Probably just symantics, but if you're shopping for metal stock, don't buy "pipe." Pipe is used for plumbing, it's not particularly strong (for it's weight anyway) for structural use. "Tubing" is what roll cages, bumpers etc are made of. If you're sopping for stock, ask for tubing.
