So I have an early 99 broke a push tube just wondering other than replacing it what I should check valve seems fine all other tubes are fine should I be worried that I can't get a very small piece out can't find it. Got both larger pieces out rocket looks good it happened right after sitting all winter warmed up and I got on it running upwards of 100mph and let off and hit exhaust brake to slow down
Not sure about what else to look for. Is the piece steel or aluminum? Have you tried a telescoping antenna with a magnet on the end and try finding the piece down the hole? I'm sure others here will know more. Good luck. I drove Sycamore while working today.
Yes that's how I got the two larger pieces out but have yet to be able to get the smaller piece out bought new ones thru riff raft diesel so hopefully once they show up it'll be fine
I actually need to update that I'm west of Hampshire now
if you where doing 100mph you where high on the rpms, and then treid to slow it down with the exhaust brake you may need to replace the all.
just fish out what you can and dont worry about them.
With those RPM's and the exhaust brake, I'd pull them all out and roll them across a table to be sure no others are bent. If they're straight, stick them back in. If they've got a warp to them, replace.

Remember which end goes up.
Not only which end goes up but also keep them in the same location/cylinder. They wear and you want to keep them where they have been for the last 100k+ miles.
