74 & 76 frame compatibility

74 & 76 frame compatibility
Will be buying a 76 2wd long bed as a parts vehicle (need doors, bed, one fender, etc.) for the 74 2wd long bed I am restoring. Does anyone know if the frames are interchangeable? Will finish the build on the 74 and if the frames will interchange as time and money allow I plan on doing the Thunderbird rear independent suspension and Crown Vic front suspension on the 76 frame then swapping drive train and body parts over.

Yes, they are the same.
One warning though, if you do plan on using the '76 at a later date be sure you keep the title for it. If you do a body swap, most states require the frame VIN be used for registration, not the VIN that's on the warranty plate.
