1997 F150 Power Window Problem

Driver window only works when it wants to. Have changed out the switch and checked the motor, and they are good..
Window switch works all the time going up… issue is only trying to go down…
Problem seems to be coming from the bottom two relays on the left side of the fuze box under the dash…
The very bottom relay seems to cycle back and forth with a click…
I have switched relays around and sometimes that helps the window to work, for a while. I just can't seem to pinpoint the problem...
Anyone ever seen this issue?
Any ideas?
Don't have the big shop manual…
a wiring diagram might help…
Thanks,

Do you feel the upward travel has to much friction for some reason?
The GEM modual has control of the window.
If the current goes to high it cuts the relay as a saftey.
This function it to prevent a person from getting a head, arm or hand cut off and to reduce damage to the drive hardware since there is no manuel control.
Good luck.

Thanks for the direction...
I will pull the fuse box and GEM and check for corrosion, etc...
And... do a little reading...

Same problem with my passenger window on my 99. Drive me CRAZY. Replaced the master window switch, checked the window motor and can't figure it out. If you figure it out please post it up and I will do the same!
