Impact with deer broke out the plastic grill. I don't see any other damage. We had slowed down enough fortunately.
It looks like there are 3 inserts -- two small ones on either side, and the large one in the middle with the Ford emblem. I might be able to just replace those. I can't tell yet if there is other damage.
The inserts are part of the grille. If you don't mind aftermarket parts, check out your local body parts house, Keystone, etc... You can have your pick of the SD grills as well as the stock Ex grill relatively inexpensive. They usually have some custom styles in stock as well. Very easy to change too. I put an SD grille on mine. It's in my gallery and the what did you do today thread.
Yeah, I'm fine with whatever, so long as it's functionally equivalent, and looks similar. 1aauto.com has something, and a local Keystone has a used one for $125.
It looks like it's just 4 screws along the top, and 4 clips at the bottom -- true?
If you don't mind the SD F250 grille, you could look in craigslist. You may have someone selling it for cheaper cause they upgraded their's. I picked mine up this way for $65 and sold my Excursion grille for the same price.
Pardon my ignorance -- what is "SD"? Super Duty? So the SD250s would be interchangeable with the Ex? Do I need to match years?

The middle part is very flimsy but they come out and there are lots around due to aftermarkets. I got mine in here from Ott.... for $20 and 10 to ship and now the Ex looks like new again. I saw one on Ebay for 55 + 16 but luckily didn't bid on it. If you get one you might have to glue some cracks and then they are as good as new. I think B-uno hit a snow-bank with his too. Keep looking in here.
