Cruise Control Indicator

I have a 1999 F150 4x4 5.4. I have only had this truck a few weeks and love it, there is only one thing that bugs me I cannot see any indication when my cruise control is on. I looked in the owners manual where the indicator should be and they dont show it in the cluster. I thought a light might be out but if you look at the cluster at certain angles you can see all indicators on the dash and the cruise control is not there. Even my old 86 F250 had a indicator come on when you had cruise on. Am I missing something. Thanks

In the 97-99 models they don't show that the cruise is turned on, this bugged me quite a bit when I was looking for mine. I ended up with a 2000 that fortunately does display the word cruise.

I never understood why you needed a light to tell you that you turned the cruise on!!! If it wasn't on, the vehicle would slow down, it it is on, it would hold a steady speed. I never needed a light to tell me that I had the cruise on in my Mustang that I have had for almost 15 yrs. It's just another bulb to burn out if you ask me.
