Carburetor Spacer Plate

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum, normally in the old truck, 1966 forum.

I have a 1966, F250 with a stock 352, stock Carburetor. When taking it apart I broke the hose connector off the spacer under the Carb that has a hose that goes to the PCV. The spacer is about 1/2 inch thick,

I cannot find one and I could repair the one I have, but if anyone here has one around I would like to buy it.

Anyone?
Thanks,
Rich in Colorado

Picture doesn't show it, but ... Trans-Dapt Performance Carburetor Spacers 2584 - SummitRacing.com

Found the part on ebay with a better picture, Transdapt 2584 Plastic Phenolic 4 Barrel Carb Spacer 1 in Ported w PCV | eBay

I'm sure there are aluminum ones around if you want that instead of the phenolic.

OP needs a two bbl job.

See post 7, SB and FE differ, even though the carb mounts the same way, the spacers are different.

JMHO, the phenolic should transfer less heat to the carb meaning a cooler fuel charge.

Transdapt and others make 2bbl spacers also - funny how they are more expensive, approaching $50 or even $63 for the Holley phenolic...

But yeah, every junkyard should have at least one 2bbl spacer if they have any 70's or earlier vehicles

I had to get one from Green sales for my 2 bbl on my MD330. I have zero idea if they are the same, but I would imagine that they are, mine was the phenolic type material. And, it was about as brittle as glass from the extreme heat that medium and heavy duty gasoline truck engines have to deal with.

The 2bbl's are harder to find than the 4bbls, and if you try the aluminum style off a later 302/351w, then the bolt pattern is correct, BUT the FT intake is cast differently and the PCV porting goes not match up and you would have a rather large vacuum leak. The aftermarket ones that I looked at thru the speed shop were cast in the same way, for the later engines intakes and not the earlier style FT intakes.

I tried several different avenues before just getting the correct obsolete part from green sales.

But then remember, I am just guessing the FE and MD FT 2bbl have the same casting in the carb mounting area.

Talking CARB SPACER

You probably can repair your spacer, I have fixed them with a new steel pipe nipple and JB weld. I have also added a PCV port to the plastic spacers this way.
