5.0L Mustang engine cover to F-150?

Seeing that the current Mustang GT 5.0L & the F-150 5.0L share the same basic engine, has anyone actually installed the engine cover on a 5.0L F-150?

I love this motor in my truck, but hate the rats nest or the way it looks when you pop the hood. Truthfully none of the new motors look pretty anymore when you lift the hood including the 3.5L.

Anyway I am planning to add a couple dress/up items that add no other function than to clean up the clutter. I want to add the oem blue Mustang coil or valve covers, and the oem engine cover from the Mustang.

Are both of these parts direct fit or are there anything that needs to be modified or trimmed to make these stock parts work. I've looked at detailed pictures of both vehicles and looked at them in person and the only part might be a problem looks to be where on the F-150 the throttle body is positioned upwards where it is positioned downward on the Mustang. Looks like it would still work but I might have to trim to make it fit.

They will not fit without modifications. The engine is the same but not exactly. The intake is different. Along with different internals.

I'm aware that the 5.0L is stroked a bit for torque in the F-150 and tuned for more Hp in the Mustang. Visually they look identical on the outside though. The throttlebody is a different shape but that's the only difference from what I can tell.

What about those cool looking blue valve covers from the Mustang? would love those at the very least. They look plug-n-play.

I see the engine covers have to be modded, but do the Boss 302 valve covers need to be modified or will they just direct bolt on?

The coil covers are a direct, don't need to modify anything, etc. fit. They don't bolt on, they push-on. *There are rubber grommets on the backside of the covers.

The issue is that the ball-studs that they mount to aren't included. Non-OEM alternatives .....

*Stainless steel 1½" M6 allen head bolts.

*Got mine from Amazon.
