Backstory....my new to me 2006 F350 DRW (stock with studs) trans runs hotter than the 2005 that I sold. This is pulling the same load (16k 5th wheel) in the same conditions. The 2005 would run 100-110 above ambient. The 2006 ran at 200 on a 60 degree day on my last trip.
I noticed today that the stock cooler is missing and a 6 pass tube and fin cooler (about 1.5 sq ft) is in its place. I guess the previous owner damaged the stock one somehow.
My problem is we leave for a 1200 mile roundtrip to Disney on Friday. I have a brand new 6 pass tube and fin cooler that I could plumb in series with the existing cooler very easily. Is it ok to run two coolers in this type of configuration? This would just be a temporary mod until I can find a stock cooler or buy a tru cool.
