Mile Marker hub install

I would have preferred to keep the OEM autolocks. Being the old-fart that I am (59) it's nice just flipping the switch to 4X4H on the dash when you need it. The passenger side was none functional - completely frozen up.
Took it apart but could not free up the ****. Was able to move it with a hammer and a driver bar and succeeded in punching out some of the breather filter stuff. That silver aluminum in the center of the **** where water and road salt spray seeps in.
After reading this Mile Marker hub install thread by High Intentions, I decided to go that route for now. A pair of new MM Hubs were less than cost of a used functional OEM hub. I like the looks of them better than the Warns and the Mod Specialist hasn't reported any trouble with his for over a year now. In the meanwhile, I'll keep an eye and ear out for some OEM hubs that can be had at a resonable price.

I have to say that the FTE site has been extremely educational, motivational for me. The Ford truck knowledge out there is incredible and to have a majority of it found in one place like FTE is amazing. We have a real treasure in FTE.

I recently had the hardest time figuring out what that part was. This is actually the first picture that I was able to find on the Internet! Why are they so difficult to find? It seems like a part that would need to be replaced often.
