Hey guys for those that have re-installed a motor on an automatic do you bolt on the torque converter to the flexplate before or leave it on the input shaft and bolt it up with the engine?
Also is it easier to bolt the motor mounts to the frame and then install the 4 bolts to the motor or bolt it all together and drop it in as one?
Leave the TC in the trans, make sure it is seated in the pump by rotating it while pushing in.
Also, bolt the mounts to the motor and drop it in that way.
Jack the face of the tranny up so you can have the motor and tranny lined up.
If you dont have a load leveler the motor is going to want to twist out of alignment to where it needs to be. Prybars help to convince it to cooperate.
