I'm doing my thermostat tonight and was wondering if I need a new gasket or pieces other than what's in the thermostat box, so I can pick them up while ford is still open.
It's a complete replacement neck with the thermostat installed inside, and an O-ring stuck into the groove. Just don't drop the bolts... If you can, leave the hose attached to the thermostat neck when you pull it out, carefully observe how the hose is clocked onto it, transfer the hose to the new neck with the same orientation, and it makes a really handy handle to hold to maneuver the new neck into place.
Do yourself a favor and replace the constant tension clamp with a screw-style hose clamp...unless you put it back 100% where it was before, its going to leak. and mine didnt leak until 2 days after, and it leaked alot
