sticken to the carb and i was told that cold air coming up the exhuast could warp the valve stem but judging by the fact that the truck ran like crap since ive had it im betting its been bent since i got the truck im also confident my problem is a result of computer failure simply becuase in a week my truck went from running on 6 cylinders to 4 to 2 to not even firing and only that one valve is bent. also, i have compression in that cylinder oddly enoughi will let u know more once the head is off but right now im trying to get the 77 running, trying to keep it as simple as possible.
i looked at my hanes manual and 79 has the 2 wires as red and white, it appears the red wire goes to the s terminal and the white wire to the I terminal. i do believe however im missing a wire or two becuase i have 12 volts at the main incoming terminal on the solenoid but no voltage at the S terminal or the I terminal and my hanes manual doesnt tell me what should b hot and what shouldnt b...and i have the solenoid grounded to the battery any ideas?
i am going to try and start a thread in the electrical section but any suggestions advice and information would be greatly appreciated, im trying to locate the amperage of the fusible link from the battery and horn relay to the ignition switchits supposed to be black and/or yellow (i am assuming this is supposed to be the main power to the ignition switch) and i cant find a direct answer on what the voltage at the coil is supposed to b with the key in run and when cranking
