Rebuild 400

Well I rebuild my 400 about. A year ago and it runs pretty good until it hits about 3600 rpm then. It starts cutting out but if you keep you foot in it it pulls out of t at 4000 rpm +\- does anyone have any ideas to why it would do this, it's done it ever since I rebuilt it and its only got 4000 miles on it.

Have you tryed another ( known good ) carb on it ? Need more imfo, current carb, intake, what all was done to it, etc ?

Edlebrock intake, 650 cfm edlebrock carb (prly the issue) rebuild all stock except for the intake

.. Single or dual plane intake? HP estimate now? Distributor type? My first guess would be the trouble-prone Eddy carb. as well... search for tuning info on it...
