I have a 1977 f-250 highboy. I was going to rebuild the 2150 2 bbl carb, but when I took it off I noticed the casting is broken. So now I need to replace it. I plan this fall to build my current 351m into a 400m bored .03 or .04. So my question. What intake and carb should I get knowing that I want to run my 351m this summer, and use the same intake and carb on my build. I had planned to replace intake and carb for my 408m, but never planned to use it on the current 351m. Thanks guys!
I know its not optimum to do it first but It wont cause damage right? And I forgot to mention I found a pair of aussie heads ill be replacing the stock heads with....does that factor into intake and carb choice? thanks

Yes. the action plus intake is designed for 2v heads.
Edelbrock Performer 400 intake and either #1405 (man choke) or #1406 (elec choke) 600 cfm Performer Carb .... add a Holley 12-803 FPR at 5.5 psi. It'll all work great with the 351M or later on, your 400.
OKay thanks for the input guys. I went ahead and just bought a reman Uremco 7-7583. But now im confounded. Its a direct fit but im missing some things on my new carb that were on the old, and have some new things that were not on my old motorcraft. I have a place for a wire to attach to the top of my old one, not on my new, I have a place to attach a wire on my new thermostat, not my old. I have a empty line coming from unter my choke pull off, no idea where it goes and I have added parts to my throttle pump that I don't know their purpose! ill try to post pics but not sure if I can. Need some help
