You will love the quieter sound of the engine. Not to mention the improve boost and throttle response with the chip.

I just installed my bellowed pipes on my van. its a good feeling you wont have to do it again. use lots of PB blaster.

not sure how bad yours are, but I had two bolts brake. made it more frustrating.

Best of luck. I was lucky to have a van, but it was still a job.

I painted with VHT paint and you will probably mess it up putting them in, but that is hard not to do.

happy installing

Of course I'll keep everyone posted, but this is not something I'm going to do myself. DI Performance will be doing the work, replacing the up pipes, fixing the exhaust manifold leak with a new gasket as well as installing the 38R turbo, all in one shot once I can afford the new turbo, very soon as in weeks.

New coil springs coming as well. She's going to fly (very smoothly at that) to tech day which will then further result in her accumulating huge gains in power with new 160/100 injectors (and new glow plugs at the same time). Can't wait!!

She'll be coming down there with 300-ish hp, leaving with a very intelligent 450-ish? Ack, just too cool.

do you have a noticable loss in power and boost and rise in egts since yours started leaking?

Actually I dont that I can tell. Not sure how long they have been leaking but I noticed white smoke on cold starts coming from under the hood an noticed they were leaking. Still drove it for about a week and had no loss of boost at all, no higher egts that I could tell, and did see a power loss either. But when I look at the driver side up pipe where it hits to collector deal at the turbo there is ALOT of soot marks coming from there so from what Ive seen on here its a fairly bad leak. I was kinda suprised that I didnt have any losses.

gotcha just asking cause i have a small leak and just did the usa ported housing and lost 8 psi of boost, didnt think my leak would do that much whether it got worse or not.

Yeah I wouldnt think leaking ups could cause that much of a loss, especially when you just installed something that should up your boost.

Im leaning towards my wastegate being slightly stuck open cause ive already re-tightened everything down IC clamps and everyother clamp that could leak. i might try replacing the o-rings on the turbo as well just to make sure.

An exhaust leak is worse than a boost leak: You have higher pressure in the exhaust than you do in the intake, so a leak there has a profound effect if it's more than just a "tick" leak. I had major-uber bad leaks on my exhaust and my chip gave me the impression all was well. Fixing the leaks be-otch slapped me into realizing all was not well before that point. "Oh... now I get it."

I still need to get under the truck and cap off the ebpv tube at the manifold, it's just open under there.
