I have used djm on two of my trucks this will lower the truck about four in. I removed the thick bottom leaf also. I used 4 degree shims. you have to space the center bolt to go thru the shims, add spacers on top of the u bolts if you remove the lower thick leaf. and yes it is a hard job to drill and grind the rivits out. be easy if the bed was off

To revive an old thread, HIO Silver threw out the idea of partnering the DJM lowering kit with the Eaton lowering leaf springs. I couldn't find on here anywhere that someone has tried that. I decided to give it a try. It works! I was able to get the rear of the truck down an additional 3 inches doing so, and with new leaf springs. I went with their 3 pack springs, but they have options. They also offer lowering front coil springs. I called and spoke to them, they say it won't affect camber but I can't believe that to be completely true. Anyway, thought I'd throw some new info out there for the next guy looking for some help!
