lowering kits?

Looking to maybe lower my truck. I am wondering if there are lowering kits that I can get that will accomidate the existing front and rear leaf spring set-up.

If you are refering to lowering blocks they won't work because these trucks have the axles mounted under the springs. Most lowering is done with a combination of spring leaf removal (also to soften the ride) and/or dropped axles or reversed eye springs. The rear end can be moved above the springs but it may require a C-notch. You have very little travel in the front to begin with so you have to be careful how many leaves are removed.

Take a look at what Classic Performance Products, www.classicperform.com has to offer and also Midfifty, www.midfifty.com. I believe they both offer dropped axles and springs. Just a note to help, add the year of your truck in the post in the future.

My plan is the reverse eye mains front and rear and pulling every other leaf. You can also move the rear leaf spring hanger (front of the rear hangers) up higher on the frame. According to everything Ive read, I should get about 4" lower in the rear... about 3.5 to 4" lower in the front. This will be a decent ride height/stance for my intended use. (which is drive the wheels off it!) This is also the cheapest way Ive found to lower my truck.
