First I want to thank all who where giving advice. And second apologize for not updating sooner. I had issues with my internet provider and they couldn't figure out how to turn it back on for 2 months after they turned it off on me.
The truck is now back home and running great. My old engine decided to eat cylinder 3 rod bearing. So we did a new long block bored 20 over, full EGR and DPF/CAT delete with an H&S mini maxx. And did the swap without pulling the cab.
I have several photos of the damage and new long block install. I'll get some of them posted here after I get them from the phone to the computer.
Do you know what happened to the bearing? Just wondering if it was a lube issue, or if the cap was loose.
I can only guess that it was lack of oil changes from the previous owner. It still had the EGR and DPF intalled when I bought it. I had just done the DPF delete the week before it took a dump. I figure the fuel dilution from the Regen's.

Subscribing..I take you that you did some of the work yourself?
How did you tackle the rebuild with the cab on? Did you remove the front clip?
Yes I was there for most of the process. The shop I had it at is a one man show and no lift. He's a d**n good diesel mechanic. He gave me a really good deal on the labor and let me in to help and learn whenever I wanted. We did remove the front clip and once you removed the turbo, it lifted out just fine.
I'll do my best to get some photos uploaded later this week. I did a few videos of the initial start up too. It took a while to get all the air purged from the fuel system. But after that, fired right up!!!!!
glad you could keep the truck and get it going, cant wait to see some pictures. gotta be nice not having egr stuff in the way anymore! curious what kinda hours it took to do it all? would ya care to say what it all set ya back in, be kinda nice knowing what it could cost if i run into similar issues.

As far as the time involved... I didn't really keep track of the hours. We worked on it a few hours in the evenings each week and some on the weekends over about 2 months.
I'll add up the receipts and see what the grand total was. I did replace a few items, just because it was easy to get to. I put a new intake on, because to clean it was next to impossible. I'll do a list of what I did and what the total damage was.
