yeah empty again i would get away. no car fax no accident report even tried the on one the forum that tells you engine type where its made and such and nothing, seems like a scam

 

Wow,which did you try,CarFax or Auto Check?
The VIN on the dash and the door sticker both have that number and I know the current owner quite well.

i tried both and the one on this forum and came up with nothing however i can tell you that its made in america and has a GVWR of 6001 to 7000 pounds, 2wd single cab long bed with a 5.0 302 motor its a 1990 or a 1994 it was made in Wayne michigan and it was the 47269 truck off the line for that year

 

Not sure why it didn't show up on Carfax. It is a good VIN.

*Edit: Just ran it on AutoCheck. They found the VIN and there's 20 records for it. I don't have a membership so I can't tell you more than that.

 

I had a very bad experience with Carfax. I bought a car off a private party that carfaxed so clean carfax said it was worth above retail. Well after one year $9,000 in repairs, ASE mechanics that were willing to put into writing that this vehicle had way more miles than Carfax said. That the vehicle had been in an accident.
carfax is a waste of time & money. When I went back on carfax they said they would refund my $39.

I had a bit of a problem with both CarFax and Auto Check @5 years ago,it seems both gave a clean bill of health on a car but later I discovered the header panel was damaged (cracked) and the car must've been in a real low speed shunt.The owner must've ate the cost of repairs and never reported it to either her insurance or the cops so it didn't show up.
Being as it wasn't reported to either the insurance or cops I really couldn't fault CarFax or Auto Check,my insurance agent was a real whiz and he couldn't find any reports either AND he discovered the woman had the same insurance company I had.
