VIN query

I entered the VIN for my '16 F250SD-XLT in the VIN decoder, and what I got back said it had an 8' bed, and it actually has the short bed (6½'? 6¾'?). Anybody have any idea why?

The VIN decoder on this forum is useless, all it gets correct is the year & model.
Try this one linked below. Go to the vehicle tab and enter your VIN, then click the arrow next to "more options".

Is there a de-code for pre-1981 vin's? Otherwise, simply a listing of all the options, for decoding the whole door plate?
