Overhead console quit working...
2002 PSD.
for about a year the overhead consol panel would be dim. I'd smack it and it would get bright again. Now it's finally quit illuminating altogether. This the one with temperature, fuel mileage, etc..
I've removed the plastic cover, but wondering what I should look for next. Also how expensive is a replacement?

There is a thread on here that explains and has pics to what has occurred in your overhead display. Mine went out a month ago and by usingd the thread I mention, I was able to repair. It is a simple fix. You probably have two small rectangular resistors that the solder connection has come loose on. You can fix yourself with a small soldering iron/kit that is available at any radio shack.
