EEF2400 Edge Box
I recently purchased one of these programmers from a friend who hasn't had it installed for over a year now(I have a 2008 F150 with a 5.4L). Is it safe to plug this programmer into my truck? I'm scared to plug this in thinking that it may do something to the ECU in my truck. Any Idea's or anyone know of someone that has purchased one of these things used for their own truck?
Also I tried to see if there was any updates for this programmer, but after I downloaded it from Edge Products| Product Updates My computer can't find the programmer when its plugged into my computer. Any help would be great!

Well I had a friend here that assured it me was good to go, but now I have a new problem. The programmer lets me use it while the key is forward, but when I start the truck the programmer shuts off? Is this thing junk? or is there something im missing.
