forgot to post back, I called bilstein , they said the measurements I had taken were not within spec for that model, but besides that point , bilstein has NOT confirmed fitment of that model damper on all 2012 model trucks at this time. he told me return or exchange at vendor, --I think I got a bad one, my factory one was actually tighter and seemed to dampen better

 

Any one recommend a better aftermarket damper? Bilstein would not help me with it and i need a new one, thanks. Oh its stock height 2012 f350 4x4
