speedometer needle jumping
my sppedometer needle will jump lets say if im going 25 it will go like....20....25....35....25.... and just kind of keep jumping to thos eposeeds bakc and forth. it started after i had pulled my buddies chevy he got stuck in the local dunes out. any idea what is causing this and how to fix it? is it a losse/stretched speedometer cable? thanks!

A jumping speedometer usually indicates the need for lubricating, or a kink in the housing. Check for kinks, if none, pull the inner cable out, clean it, and lube with white grease, or something that won't get stiff in cold weather. Don't over-grease, just a heavy film of grease will do.
