Intake Manifold Question
I have a 2003 Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 4.6l. Anyway, I was having an issue with the spark plug hole filling with coolant and sludge, and figured it was my intake manifold gasket or valve cover gasket leaking into it.
Well after a day spent removing the intake, and swapping the valve cover gaskets, I noticed a crack on the rear left water passage, which would explain the leak. Anyway, I need this to get this up and running a.s.a.p. and have been searching everywhere for a replacement intake.
After not finding anything, I happened across a new Dorman replacement intake on Craigslist that the guy selling it said he bought for his 99 Mustang GT. I know that the heater hose might need some modification to work, but is it possible for this intake to work on my Explorer?
The 99 mustangs have the PI heads, so other than the heater hose, I am not sure of any differences.
