Question Oil Pan Remove/Replace w/o Lifting Engine?

I have a 1990 F250 2x4 that I want to drop the oil pan from to see if I have a problem with the oil pump and/or oil-pickup tube. Can I remove and replace the oil pan without removing the side motor mounts and lifting the engine? I imagine I need to remove the exhaust pipes from the exhaust manifolds, but it looks like there's enough room to get the pan out without lifting the engine.

If I do need to lift the engine, where should the jack-up point be, and is anything needed besides removing the nuts from the side motor-mounts?

Any information I can get on this will be very much appreciated.

Oil Pan Remove/Replace w/o Lifting Engine?

just what 1 did w/mine and my suggestions

now i had an 86 2 whl dr with the 302 and i did it in a shop but i was in a hurry...we did something potentially harmful to the truck and to us for that matter so i recommend you dont do this ,but just for the info we had a lifty with the side ramps...drove the truck on unhooked the drivers side exaust pipe sawzalled the other side pipe and pulled em down...removed the nuts from motor mounts and placed a solid 4 legged stand and a block of wood under the crank pully/harmonic balancer and lowered the lift little by little and unbolted the pan afterwards...and without unboling the tranny i just barely wedged the pan out the backside, and had an even better time forcing it back in...NOW AGAIN THIS WAS BAD FOR THE TRUCK AND ENTIRELY UNSAFE FOR THOSE WHO WERE WORKING ON IT BUT WE WERE LUCKY...furthermore ,i take no responsibility for what you do after reading this, but pleease be careful!!!!

an idea i would think wouldnt be the a#1 idea but a lot safer would be what i have helped my friend do 1nce or 2wice unbolt the motor mounts and lift it from the top w/a cherry picker or like we did with a comealong and a good strong object above(tree limb in our case) then do youre thing under the truck and get it back together right

ONCE AGAIN THIS COULD BE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS IF YOU DO NOT LIFT FROM A GOOD SOLID OBJECT!!!AND BE CAREFUL!!!!
