Alright, if your able to acquire the correct psi and temperature, to have the lines made, would you install them? Only thing is, is that the new lines will be JIC fittings.
I have done it. It works fine. The only problem is you have access issues with the JIC fittings on the HPOP, you have to tighten the forward hose first and then the next one in that order. So, the rear hose has to come off to get to the forward hose even if nothing is wrong with the rear hose. I suppose it also may be possible to disturb the Loctite seal in the ORB end when removing and reinstalling hoses.
In my opinion, the STC style fittings are a superior set up. One can easily change either hose with just a single tool and be on their way (as long as they have enough oil in the system).
story of my life, Greg. Found, what i thought was a complete SCORE, but there's the catch... THhe STC connectors..(Eaton), from what the guy was say'n, is that IH, pretty much has a patent to that design. Gant it, theirs "other" similar designs, but to match the ones' on our hpop line is next to impossible.
He had the idea of the JIC. I'm gonna go today and see what other "style" might work, without the issues you said... I was there for some fittings, and started B.S'en and showed him my "spare" lines, and when the price flew out, the excitement had to be contained or i wud've "gave it away"...
