Engine mounts?
Well I put in my 390 today (with a backhoe lol) and finally got everything lined up and got ready to put the bolts in and the pens don't line up. Kinda hard to put into words but how there are the two pens on the bellhousing that go into the engine, there are two on the belhousing and one on the engine so its obviosly not going to work. Second, does anyone know which way the rubber mounts on the engine go? I looked in a manual and it showed the rubber flap going toward the oil filter and I put them on that way but its seems like theres too much room between the engine and bellhousing. Just seems to be one thing after another but its gonna be a nice truck once I get it going.

To the OP, is this an engine swap or are you attempting to reinstall the 390??

It was a swap I had a 360 in it but I looked at a different engine today that had the mounts on correctly and mine were opposte. That's my problem. Here in the next few days ill take it out and switch the mounts and knock that pen out. 50 50 chance lol you know how that goes
