No. I moved from Ft. Lewis to Ft. Hood, TX. It's been great weather so far, only gonna get warmer from here though.

I think with the load I had another unit would have been beneficial but one was better than none.
I have 2 on mine that helps. I am stepping up to RAS and hopefully that will make my towing alot less stressful.

tongue weight

This thread may be a little old!
Was looking for trailer wiring but saw this and several other old posts about hitch weight. Cant understand why so many people dance around the answer that seem to know about towing.
I have towed 8000# trailers and boats all with broncos and vans, not yet with my 13 expy EL. Stability/sway has everything to do with wheelbase and rear overhang. As for tongue weight, many seem to forget that a 10-15 % factor does NOT put that amount on the rear of the vehicle/hitch wt. Thats what a weight distributing hitch is for. 1000# bars are rated to xfer 1000#, and so on for other bars. Therefore, 15 % of 8K lbs is 1200 # the bars can xfer most of that weight if not all to the front axle if needed. 1200# then becomes only 4 to 500 # or less on the rear hitch/axle.
You must calculate weight amount figures to both axles and then see if the door sticker ratings are within limits. Also must calculate GCVWR for that rating.
It is simply not rocket science, just paying attention to available ratings.
My 93 Full size bronco towed a 26' boat tlr & boat ~8000#. weight distributing hitch made the 800# tongue weight fall into line with hitch and vehicle ratings.
Sorry for long.....maybe somewhere else someone addressed this issue, just did not have time to do a big search. Now back to wiring
