1952 Hood Latch

I hope this is not a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. Are there two hood latches on 1952 F-series trucks? Was one released with a cable to the under-dash area, and the other released from the grill area?
Thanks,
John

Magic 8 Ball says "No underdash cable"......but thats just what the 8 Ball said. It could be wrong but I would say its correct.

On any hood you have a primary latch and a safety latch. Neither of them are cable operated on our trucks. Both are released from the front of the truck.

Hood Latch

That was the answer I was looking for. Is the safety latch the smaller one to the left of the center latch? Thanks.

Safety catch is the hook on the left. Lock spring and bolt is to the right. Hood latch is on the body panel between the front fenders. The hood latch release is attached to the hood latch itself.
