Train Horn?

I was wondering if anybody is using this type of horn? I'm hoping someone will blow their horn on this I live in Mn and am worried the horns would plug up with snow/ice in the winter. Any idea's on how to avoid the frosted horn syndrome

Well you point them down do that any moisture that gets in them drains out. And if you get a train horn kit make sure you get quality parts other wise the valves will fail and your horn will go off at will.

Most common quality would probably hornblasters.com they have sound clips too so you can pick what horn you want

Purchased mine from Hornblasters.

The solenoid has gotten stuck on me twice since I've had it but that's due to me forgetting to bleed the tank when the temperature has dropped.

Mine are mounted horizontally but they seem to drain fine as I've not had a problem with them accumulating any snow/dirt in them.

If you want a real train horn, I'd recommend a Nathan P3. It's physically easier to mount and doesn't require the amount of air as a K series Nathan.

Those sound great, but are priced way steep
