I have a 2008 f350 crew cab and it won't start the transfer case blew up on me and messed a lot of **** up but I had to put a new wire harness in because I messed up the out one and I don't know if the transmission computer is bad something is moving around in there and there's the servos light is on and the truck won't ever crank I double checked every thing is hocked up right no other cut wires or any thing like that. But still won't crank what could cause this to happen and what should I do? Any help would be great thank you
If you have any powertrain warranty left I recommend you call a tow truck. If your transfer case is shot and it made a mess of things then this is going to require more than some wires.
Well warranty left and I put a new transfer case in and drive shafts and fuel lines brake lines and wiring harness that was all that was messed up but could that computer make it not start if it was bad or what else should I look at
ok here ya go...
make sure there are no dtc's first. fix any you have first
put truck in park on if manule trans put it in N. set the park brake.
put key in and turn to on position
open hood locate starter S wire ( single wire yellow (may have tracer) round connecter). its next to passanger side battery near fender.
seperate the connector and jumper that wire to the battery + to make truck crank and start.
